We develop and build off-grid fuel cell power supply systems and battery chargers with integrated reformers for methanol and ethanol. The figure shows an exemplary system design (from top to bottom): the plug-in module with control and power electronics, the electronic load for consumer simulation, the fuel cell module with 1.5 kWel payload and the gas processor unit for autothermal methanol reforming with downstream purification to fuel cell-compatible gas.
