The focus on applied research on batteries and fuel cells
On February 10, 2022, the State Minister of Science Theresia Bauer (Ministry of Science, Research and the Arts Baden-Württemberg, MWK) visited the energy research institutes of the City of Science in Ulm. At the ZSW in Lise-Meitner-Staße 24, the focus was on applied research on electrochemical energy technologies. During the laboratory tour, near-series research production facilities for batteries in various cell formats were viewed, as well as the ZSW's capabilities for testing batteries for safety. Another stop was the 3000 square meter new building "HyFaB" in which the fuel cell test center will go into operation by summer 2022.
